Help! Mermaid attacked by Octopus!

This is my newest folk art. It is a big shadow box with a mermaid being attacked by an Octopus! I am almost finished, just need to coat it and put in the glass front!

Just finished this today. A folk art Mermaid box. All hand-painted, with shells as accents. I put some beads on the latch to make it a pretty!!

Here she is without her glider. Hard to see great detail because it is so dark and rainy here today. I still want to make a gun for her. I'll probably get my son's help with that!!!

This is a group of Folk Dolls I made for this past Halloween. They were made from canvas that was painted in acrylics. These were fun to make I hope to do more this year. (more)
My Sister's Vintage Baby Shower

My sister is due to have her first child in April, so I was more then happy to give her a Bay Shower. I decided to do a vintage style shower and set to work on making decorations and favors for the party.
Since the baby is going to be a girl, I decided to stay with a pink color scheme. I first made some flower arrangements. These were very easy and really fun to make,( I will post some step-by-step guides for making these and other baby shower decor soon). I used pink tulle to dress up the chandeliers and make bows on presents and favors. It was very delicate and pretty and complimented the "vintage" theme well.
